Lumecca is an intense pulse light (IPL) that delivers up to 3 times the energy in the 500-600 nm range. IPL is described as technology that is used by cosmetic and medical care providers to perform a variety of skin treatments for both aesthetic and therapeutic reasons.

What To Expect
During the treatment, there is a bright flash of light which feels like a light elastic sensation. The treatment is painless, short (about 45 minutes), and requires no downtime. They also notice, just days after their first treatment, that the little age spots or freckles are gone or the redness in their cheeks has lessened.
A series of treatments, typically 4-6 sessions, is needed to be able to see a visible improvement. Most of our patients don’t experience side effects, and any skin reactions typically resolve within a few hours of the initial treatment. Patients may find they have more sensitivity to sunlight immediately after the treatment. You should definitely avoid direct sunlight and tanning.
