Dermal Fillers

Facial dermal fillers for lips, eyes, wrinkles, cheeks and uneven skin in Burlingame, Millbrae, and San Mateo.

Dermal fillers are among the fastest growing skincare enhancing treatments. Being an FDA-approved medical filler that replaces the need for a surgical procedure and is much more affordable, we aren’t surprised!

Fillers contain hyaluronic acid that when injected into the skin will fill out wrinkled skin that has been caused by depressions and natural aging. During a person’s younger years, the skin is kept plump from hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural sugar that entrances and binds the skin to the body’s water. The loss of collagen and fluid makes the skin thinner.

With the development of facial fillers and various options available, we can choose the best for particular skin problems and offer long-term results.

Dermal Fillers are a safe and efficient method for restoring the loss of facial volume, transforming the contours of the face, plumping thin lips, and banishing the appearance of wrinkles. Facial fillers are non-surgical and work by injecting a serum directly into the targeted area of correction. The most common areas include the hands, neck, and face. Not only do injectable fillers make skin immediately appear firmer, smoother, and years younger, but they carry many risks and do not require a recovery period. No wonder these fillers are among the most popular treatments in the industry!

Juvéderm®

One of the most popular dermal fillers available on the market today is the Juvederm. It contains a Hyaluronic Acid that can give a consistent, enhanced appeal of static facial wrinkles. It can also replace lost facial volume throughout the cheeks and jawline. The most usual areas cured by Juvederm include the marionette lines and the nasolabial folds.

Restylane®

Restylane® is the first dermal filler in the cosmetic industry to produce an injectable hyaluronic acid that is non-animal-based, but instead, the same hyaluronic acid found naturally in the human body. Restylane® treatments reverse the loss of facial volume and restore fullness for long-lasting results up to one year. Due to Restylane’s unique composition, allergy testing is not required before receiving this treatment. Restylane® treatments reverse the loss of facial volume and restore fullness.

Restylane® Refyne

As skin loses elasticity with age, the lines that run from the sides of your nose toward the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corner of your mouth toward the chin appear more noticeable. Restylane Refyne helps correct these lines for a more natural look to your face. The unique cross-linking of the gel in Restylane Refyne is also designed to help support your natural expression—for real-life results that help maintain natural movement when you’re smiling, frowning and even puckering up.

Restylane® Defyne

As we age, our skin loses elasticity and the lines that run from the sides of the nose toward the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corner of your mouth toward the chin become more pronounced. Restylane Defyne corrects these deepened lines. The unique cross-linking of the gel in Restylane Defyne is also designed to help support your facial expressions—for natural-looking results that help maintain your natural movement.

How Will The Procedure Go?

The procedure is direct. The majority of patients who go through this procedure do not require any anesthesia. However, a topical or local numbing agent may be used if needed to proceed with the treatment and make it more comfortable.

We will use a fine needle to gently inject the chosen dermal filler into the facial areas according to the patient’s preference. There will be no bandages or stitches needed. After the completion of the procedure, the patient can return back to regular activities.

What Is The Recovery Process?

Being a non-invasive procedure, there is little to no downtime afterward. Patients can immediately resume and continue normal activities.

The minor side effects of this treatment can be related to the injection process itself may include bruising, swelling, and redness of the injection site. This is true, especially for lip augmentation. Nonetheless, these side effects should weaken within a few days and will not pose any risk.
